Hazrat mir mohammed momin was born in Iran asturbad. Hazrat belongs to the linage of sadath razvi. 

Hazrat was an architect of Hyderabad who designed Charminar, Makkah Masjid, and other monuments.

Hazrat Mir Mohammed Momin was Born in 10 century Hijri in Asturabad, Iran, to a noble and respectable Hussaini Syed family.

Hazrat studied under his uncle Mir Faqruddin Samaki who was a prominent educator. He graduated in Ilme Deen at Moulana Syed Nooruddin Moosavi Sushtari.

Teaching

Hazrat mir mohammed momin worked as a tutor for the prince of Iran and had other eminent duties at the court of the King. Hazrat migrated in 986H from Iran to Golconda after performing Haj and Ziyarath of Karbala, Iraq.

Hazrat welcomed by Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah Golconda. He made later the Peshwa for Sultanate and prime minister under his reign .

Works and Achivements

Hazrat, an architect, a pious scholar and command of Islamic learning, asked by Sultanate to design a city according to the tenets from Holy Quran.

Hazrat’s masterplan for Hyderabad derived from the Shrine of Imam reza A.S. The imam and great-grandson the Prophet Mohammed Iran. like the Charminar in its centre, with four arterial roads leading to it, and major markets.

Hazrat also designs the Palace for the Sultans, Badshahi Ashoorkhana, in the memory of the Martyrs of Karbala. 

His fourth vision of Hyderabad having a burial ground made him buy land. This was where Hazrat Shah chirag R.A. and Hazrat Noorul huda R.A buried.

Hazrat transformed it into a Daira, a sanctified graveyard, by mixing in it the soil he had arranged to bring from Karbala, Iraq. Hazrat died in 1034 Hijri and laid to rest in a mausoleum made by him in his lifetime.

Daria Mir Momin, situated near the Mir Jumla Tank at Sultan Shahi in the Moghulpura area of the Old City of Hyderabad, built around 1621. It is a graveyard of history, in the literal sense. He appointed as a tutor of prince Hyder Miza, the son of the king of Iran, in 986 Hijri.

His son, Mir Mujaduddin Mohammed, who was 40 years old, died during his life period. He died on the 26th Shaban, in the year 1036Hijri.

which corresponds to 1627 A.D. on Monday, at the age of 76 in Hyderabad He purchased land with his money in the Sultan Shahi locality for a Muslim cemetery. And in which he buried. At present time caretaker and custodian of this Muslim cemetery are Mir Abbas Ali Sahib.

About the services of Mir Momin Astarabadi, he was the first Peshwa (or Prime Minister) of the QutubShahi dynasty. He belonged to a family of scholars in Astarabad in Persia and migrated to Golconda in the 16th century when Mohammed Quli gained power. And Hyderabad built by Hazrat Mir Mohammed Momin Astarabadi more than 400 years ago. This Muslim cemetery of Daira Mir Momin is one of the oldest MUSLIM graveyards in Hyderabad.

Hazrat Muhammad Mir Momin was an architect that designed Charminar, Badshahi Ashoor Khana. Waqf Board currently maintains this.

Hazrat Mir Mohammed momin was the first prime Minister during the reign Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah. He involved in the planning and construction of Hyderabad. This included the location of the Charminar. But few know about him or his grave.

Daira Mir Momin, a four-century-year-old graveyard located in the Old city’s Sultan Shahi area. presents a picture of official apathy.

Several influential personalities, including Mir Momin Astarabadi. who had contributed to the foundation of Hyderabad, laid to rest here.

Mir Mohammed Momin Asturabadi brought in camel loads of soil from Karbala (the holy city of Iran) in the 16th Century. and had it laid at the cemetery’s graveyard.

Hence, it is one of the essential graveyards of the Muslim community in the city.

Shah Chirag, a Najaf-based religious figure, was among those who laid to rest. Noor-ul-Huda from Iran was another religious scholar. He had brought with him holy relics of Iran which he presented to the QutbShahi Kings.

Likewise, Ghulam Ali Khan, the exponent of Hindustani classical music, buried here. Annual urs celebrated every year by some people on a large scale. Lots of Shias and Sunni devotees visit the shrine daily.
