Sheikh Najibuddin Mutawakkil Delhi
Hazrat majibuddin mutawakkil was the brother of Shaykh Fariduddin Ganj Shakar (may God bless him and grant him peace) and was the authorized caliph, strict in matters (i.e. bound by Shariat) and very trustworthy.
He lived in the city for a period of seventy years, although there was no steady income from grain etc. and he had a wife and children, but in spite of that he lived so happily that he did not even know what day it was today.
The month and how much money is there in our house. Once, on the day of Eid, the moon dervishes gathered at your house. By chance, there was nothing in your house that day. You climbed on the roof of your house and engaged in divine remembrance. Done, you said in your heart that today the day of Eid will pass in the same way and will not get any food in the mouth of my children, and will these guests also return in the same way? He came to the roof and was reciting this poem.
Cloud said, Willa Khizr ra beni! Dil qaft agar mara ihada binam (I said to my heart, “Do you see the Prophet (peace be upon him)?” Then the heart replied, “If he appears to me, I should see him.” Then the old man presented a plate full of food and said: That the angels of Mullah Ala on the throne are praising you yesterday and you are still holding this world in your heart and are leaning towards it, he replied that God is witness that I have done this for myself. Not inclined towards but friends Necessities forced me to turn to him and it was probably Hazrat Khizr (peace be upon him) who brought the food.
