Syed Saheb Hussaini

He belonged to the Qadiri Sufi order and was a great proponent of the concept of Wahdat al-Shuhood (the unity of God’s manifestation). Saheb Hussaini was a murid (disciple) of the famous Hyderabad Sufi saint Hazrat Shah Muhammad Maroof Shahidullah Farooqui Chisti Qadiri and belonged to the Qadiri Order. Syed Saheb Hussaini was born in the town of Tekmal in 1805 AD.

His father was Syed Abdur Razzaq who was also initiated into the Qadiri order. They lived during the reign of King Mir Akbar Ali Khan Sikander Jah, Asaf Jah III of Hyderabad State. According to the family genealogy in the family records, Syed Saheb Hussaini is a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) directly through his daughter Fatima (R.A.) and Ali Ibn Abi Talib (R.A.). The famous Sufi saint Shaikh Abdul Qadir Gilani who is from the thirteenth generation line and who founded the Qadiri Order and Sayyid Saheb Hussaini is his son. Sayyid Sahib Husayni is the 41st generation after Fatima (R.A.).

Sayyid sahib Husayni is a descendant of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). His family is this which also shows how his grandfather migrated to India and later to Tekmal.

Education
He was born in 1219 Hijrah which corresponds to 1805 AD in Tekmal village in Medak district of Hyderabad. His father’s name is Hazrat Syed Abdul Razzak Qaderi and his ancestors migrated to India 700 years ago.

His ancestors first settled in the Punjab region and migrated to Allahabad and from there after spending 350 years in northern India, they migrated to Hyderabad Deccan. The body of Hazrat Syed Shukerullah Qaderi and his son Syed Abdul Wahed Qader Thani and the grave of his son Syed Abdul Razzak Qaderi are located in Takiya Dargah Sharif area in Tekmal town. Shrine of Hazrat Syed Sahib Husayni Qaderi is also located in Tekmal town. Saheb Hussaini moved to the city of Hyderabad at the age of 14 to attend high school and stayed there for five years despite financial problems and hardships he faced.

He is determined to gain knowledge about religious and secular sciences. In 1824 A.D. he was forced to return to the city of Tekmal due to his father’s illness and death. At that time he realized that he had not been able to get the knowledge of spiritual consciousness from his father who had grown up in these things. Syed Saheb Hussaini lamented this for a long time.

Finally, he says he had a dream in 1825 AD. which his father appeared and advised him to become a disciple of Hazrat Shah Muhammad Maroof Shahidullah Farooqui Chisti Qadiri, who was a famous Sufi of his time in Hyderabad.

So he sought out this great Sufi and became his disciple in 1826 AD and in the same year Hazrat Shah Muhammad Maroof Shahidullah Farooqui Chisti Qadiri was appointed Syed Saheb Hussaini as caliph (khalifa). Having achieved this position, Sahib Husayni returned to his hometown Tekmal. During the next few years, Shah Muhammad Maroof Shahidullah Farooqui Chisti Qadiri visited his caliph (khalifah) Syed Saheb Ḥussaini many times in Tekmal.

During one of these visits in 1831 AD, he also conferred the title of “sajjadah” (guardian) on Sayyid Saheb Hussaini. In 1833 A.D. Shah Muhammad Maroof Shahidullah Farooqui Chisti Qadiri went to Tekmal again and announced that he would die in the city and be buried there. His grave has been identified.

He returned the following year in 1834 AD, expired there and was buried in Tekmal according to his wishes. His death occurred on 2 Sha’aban of the year 1249 Hijra. Twenty-one years later, in 1854, Sayyid Saheb Hussaini built a tent over his master’s grave.


The Sheikh of his time before returning to his country, he completed training in intimacy (batini) and manifesto (zaheri) in Hyderabad and sent him back to his country with the intention of starting a teaching and preaching career. of the Islamic message and around the city of Tekmal and for this struggle and his work, he uses his work and efforts in this matter. But from a city in Tekmal there is a large number of educated and educated people and this is interesting. The shadow of Hazrat Qibla (Honorable One) is a great point of pride and gratitude.


The great-grandson of this pious person, Hazrat Qazi Ahemd Muniruddin Faroqui, the disciple and caliph of Hazrat Mohammed Abdul Quadeer Siddiquie Hasrat, and his efforts and works are famous and famous in Hyderabad region. Because of his great rank and status, Hazrat Mohammed Abdul Quader Siddiqui Hasrat attended the funeral prayers of his Caliph and was present in the city of Tekmal during his funeral. His grandson Qazi Syed Shah Azam Ali Sufi Qaderi was famous and renowned for his religious efforts and level of knowledge and for this reason, he is one of the oldest saints of Hyderabad.

For the knowledge of zaheri (manefesto) he created the Islamic school and for the teaching of batana (the most profound) he built the house of the sanctuary.
